Rules and Etiquette
At Third Gen, we try to approach everything with safety in mind. Below are a list of rules and etiquette to ensure a fun and safe experience.
Things to know before your lesson
- Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled riding lesson time to groom and tack your horse
- Clean up after your horse immediately, remove manure and sweep.
- Be mounted at the start of your riding lesson time
- Helmet and boots required, equestrian riding tights or breeches strongly encouraged
- No dogs allowed
*If this is your first lesson, we will help you groom and tack your horse, please still arrive 30 min early. Children will be assisted until they are capable of getting their horse ready.
Helmets
- You must bring your own helmet
- Must be rated for safety
- Anyone jumping must wear a helmet
- Anyone under the age of 18 must wear a helment at all times
- Hair must be tied back or under the helmet with hair net
Boots
- Paddock boots required at minimum, half chaps strongly encouraged with paddock boots
- Tall boots recommended
- No tennis shoes or sandals for riding
